Gwen specialises in observational and social history documentaries – both working as a self-shooting director and directing broadcast crews.

In 2003 Gwen’s documentary was selected as part of the prestigious ITV London young director’s series, MetrolandOld DogsNew Tricks broadcast in TV primetime and achieved critical acclaim from London’s Evening Standard, the Guardian and the Times newspapers.

Gwen has led teams in the USA and UK for indie production houses such RDF, Endemol UK and Lion Television and for broadcasters ITV and the BBC.

Gwen’s debut feature documentary Where There is Life  premiered at the New Zealand International Film Festival in 2017. The panel acclaimed “Isaac’s film is startling in its candour”. 

The film was selected for the Doc without Borders, The Wayward Festival and the Blow-up International Art House Film Festival in the USA. In addition Gwen won Best First Time Film Director at the London Independent Film Awards.
